Authentic Internet Marketing For Introverts In Business

Hi there!

If you’re looking for business advice and support with flashy graphics, big bold claims and lots of swearing, then you’re in the wrong place – sorry!

Don’t get me wrong – I like those sort of websites. I find them inspiring, entertaining and very informative, a lot of the time.

It’s just not me.

I’m Julia Barnickle. I’m the founder of The Quiet Entrepreneur (formerly Create An Inspired Business), and I’m an introvert.

Now, I don’t like to hide behind a label – however I think it is useful to understand how your personality can affect your behaviour and therefore potentially have an impact on your success in life and in business.

The thing, is a lot of advice that’s given for businesses is given by extroverts – and a lot of it is good. However it doesn’t always work for introverts.

So if you’re trying to build a business and you’re trying to be successful and you’re following the advice of extroverts, then I’m not going to say that it won’t work because I’m sure that you’ll be successful.

However it won’t be easy.

The thing is that if you’re trying to implement something which doesn’t come naturally, then it’s hard work – and I’ve got nothing against hard work. I’m not saying “be lazy in your business”.

However, the greatest success you can have comes when you’re in flow – when you’re doing things that come naturally to you.

So if you’re an introvert in business, then this website is just for you. it’s been designed for introverts by introverts.

Over the coming months I want to make more things available to you – so there’ll be e-courses, where you can download instructions on how to build a website, for example, how to get a better search engine ranking, or how to create online courses.

You’ll be able to join groups of people online, to get some additional help with those programmes, and you can also work one-to-one with myself or perhaps with somebody else in the team.

And also, I’m going to be interviewing people who can give you advice about specific parts of business – about writing a book perhaps, or telling your story in your blog – about blogging itself, in fact.

And also, one of the other things I want to do is offer you “do it for you” type services – so if you need a website, but you don’t really want to build it yourself, then we’ll do it for you. Or if you want somebody to do the copywriting, or your PR, then those things will be available too, over time.

It’s early days at the moment, but I’m very excited about launching this whole concept of having a website for introverts in business – and I hope you will come back and visit us often.

Or you can sign up on the side here – give me your e-mail address and I’ll stay in touch with you with news about what’s going on, any blog posts that we put up, and information that’s going to be of use to you.

So don’t be a stranger!

I look forward to talking to you soon.

Julia

  • Lovely video Julia. What made you change the name of your business? I think I know it part why, but curious minds have to ask.

I like what you said here, “The thing is that if you’re trying to implement something which doesn’t come naturally, then it’s hard work…” Kind of energy draining isn’t it?!

    Looking forward to hear more.

Thank you Patricia! With regard to the name, I had bought the “Create an Inspired Business” domain several years ago, and not really got round to using it, so I thought I would use it when I started this website. But it didn’t really fit – it was too generic. Although I do want to encourage people to be inspired and inspiring in their businesses, I realised that I actually wanted to encourage INTROVERTS to get out into the world and inspire more people, in a way that works best for them, and I wanted to make sure that was clear from the name! So I changed the name to “Introverts In Business”. But that sounded a bit clunky, so I finally changed it to “The Quiet Entrepreneur”, which I’m very happy with! 🙂
